What is Detonate? Detonate is Chorleywood’s Christian holiday club to start the summer with a bang. It is run by local churches for the benefit of local children. Detonate normally runs in the first full week of the summer holiday. Who Can Come ? Detonate is open to any child currently in school years 1 to 6 who lives in, or who goes to school or church in, Chorleywood (Herts) or its immediate vicinity. |

What goes on at Detonate? The Detonate format is simple and fun. At the start and finish of each day we gather together for lively songs, comedy, drama and competitions. For the rest of the day children follow an age-group specific programme of games, teaching and activities. Through this they learn of God’s amazing love and about friendship with Jesus. Friday afternoon includes a final session in which parents and siblings can join in the fun. Throughout the day, children are cared for in small groups, each with a responsible leader and one or more helpers. |
