What goes on at Detonate?
Friday afternoon includes a final session in which parents and siblings can join in the fun. Throughout the day, children are cared for in small groups, each with a responsible leader
How much does it cost?
Detonate costs approximately £15,000 to run, which is about £50 per child. All our helpers are volunteers and give their time free of charge. We rely on fees charged to cover the cost of Detonate.
What happens next?
Please complete and return the Application and Gift Aid form. You need a separate form for each child. We can cater for up to 320 children but you need to get your application in early to guarantee a place. The closing date is Friday 20 July. (Late applications may be considered if there are spaces).
Detonate is open to any child currently in school years 1 to 6 who lives in, or goes to school or church in, Chorleywood or its immediate vicinity.
It is very important that you provide details (at time of application) of any special needs your child may have. We need these so that we can ensure adequate provision and supervision. Children can go into a younger age group (eg to be with a younger brother or sister) but cannot join an older age group.
Detonate is organised by the Churches of Chorleywood, which are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998. Photographs and videos may be taken during the week and used in publicity material. Any concerns should be raised with the booking administrator.
