Since our start in 2002 we have built a considerable bank of materials and experience of running a high quality Christian-based holiday club at scale. We feel led to use this to help other churches establish a children’s holiday club locally, where this doesn’t already exist. We have identified four ways in which we feel we might support teams from other churches.

• Demonstration: send us a delegation to see Detonate 2012.
• Training: let us run a training session(s) at your church. This could cover any or all aspects of running a holiday club – organisation, publicity, set up, stage, teaching, etc.
• Involvement: let us help fill certain key roles during your first year, in order to help you get things off the ground.
• Materials: use one of our earlier themes with associated stage scripts, teaching materials etc.

Materials available

Since 2004 we have developed our own themes and supporting material. Certain images and puzzles are imported from freely available sources; e.g. the internet. Otherwise our material is wholly original.

What Detonate materials are available to others?

We now have six full sets of materials (one per year since 2004) comprising:

• a teaching framework comprising an overall theme plus five daily sub-themes including teaching objectives, bible story, bible verse and a key word (the day’s lesson summarised in one word)
• high quality daily worksheets of puzzles and activities linked to each daily theme and bible story. Download an example here.
  

• stage scripts, linked to the daily theme
• teaching activities and illustrations supporting each daily theme
• from 2006 onwards, a superb original theme song composed by our very own Belinda Patrick.
